Waggin
The Story
During my UX/UI design studies, I was assigned to create a mobile app design based on a theme of my choice, using the skills I had recently acquired. As a lifelong animal lover, I didn’t have to look far for inspiration – one glance at my own dog sparked the idea that quickly grew into the concept for “Waggin”. I imagined an app that would make it easier for people to find and adopt dogs from shelters all over the country. The goal was not just to simplify the adoption process, but also to create a tool that would foster empathy and connection between users and shelter animals in need of a home.
The Solution
“Waggin” is a playful, user-friendly mobile app that brings together adoptable dogs from various shelters into one accessible platform. The design features lively, hand-drawn illustrations and a vibrant blue-orange color palette to evoke warmth, trust, and energy. I focused on crafting an intuitive user journey, ensuring the app feels inviting and easy to navigate. From browsing profiles to reading about each dog’s personality, the app was designed to build emotional connection and streamline the adoption process in a modern, engaging way.
